Mirtos is a theatre company founded to produce an eclectic programme of productions both from the established theatrical canon and exciting new writing that we believe will become the classics of the future.

At Mirtos, we believe that it is vital to sustain and support contemporary playwriting without diminishing our passion for the great drama of the past. For us, vibrant new writing and exciting classics are not mutually exclusive but rather form a continuous and ongoing dialogue exploring the human condition. We are dedicated to contributing to the dialogue with a playful and curious artistic programme of exciting plays in captivating productions.

Founded in 2002 under the guidance of Artistic Director Rebecca Atkinson-Lord, Mirtos continues to grow from strength to strength and is currently resident company at the Arch 468 Theatre Studio. In addition to our performance work, Mirtos offers an exciting education and outreach programme to complement our productions as well as providing performance skills training for business environments.
